Meet the Team
Meet the BTSIndy Team — a group of passionate leaders and advocates dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and providing resources for people of all ages and backgrounds. Together, we are committed to breaking the silence, spreading hope, and making a lasting impact in our community.

Keisha Howard
For the past 23 years, I have dedicated my life to supporting survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner violence, driven by my own journey as a survivor of sexual and verbal abuse. My passion is helping women navigate the challenges of healing, empowerment, and rebuilding their lives. Throughout the State of Indiana, I have led multiple workshops, providing guidance, resources, and hope to those who feel alone or overwhelmed. I do this work because the need in our communities is urgent—so many women are still hurting, and I believe that through support, education, and encouragement, we can help them find strength, safety, and a path forward.

In 2017, I joined the Domestic Violence Ministry at Hovey Street Church of Christ. I have a passion for raising awareness in the church and community about the devastation of domestic violence.

I have supported the BTS Organization alongside my mother for 23 years, actively participating in workshops and youth events. As a young adult, I joined the team to continue the fight, connect young people with resources, and remind them they are seen and heard. I advocate because I love witnessing people overcome their darkest days and find hope again.

I advocate because silence protects abuse, but voices bring change.
I advocate to remind survivors: you are not alone, and it’s not your fault. I advocate to break cycles of violence, protect children, and build safer homes.
I advocate because every person deserves respect, safety, and love without fear.I advocate to transform pain into purpose and hope into healing.

I am a Survivor. I want to help other men and women in that situation to get help to survive and not die. Show them that there are people who cares and want to help them without judging and cheering for them.

Why do I speak out against Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence? Because it hurts people, mostly children and women.
I like helping and raising awareness about different types of abuse.
I like to help empower the survivors to regain their voices and sense of control after an abuser has tried to take it away.

I have been a part of BTSIndy for 18 years, driven by the belief that our children cannot voice what they do not know or understand. Their experiences shape the future of nations — their victories become our greatest triumphs, and their trauma our deepest wounds. My goal is to educate, inspire, and empower them to embrace their greatness and impact the world.

I have been with BTS since its inception over 20 years ago. My commitment to advocacy, both personally and within the community, continues to inspire me to bring hope to others. Through raising awareness, educating the public, and supporting those seeking healing, I have helped shine a light on the realities of abuse, leading to more voices being heard and more lives being restored.
